    Barbara Lotze Scholarships for Future Teachers

    • An undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited two-year college, four-year college or a university; or a high school senior accepted for such enrollment.
    • Pursuing, or planning to pursue, a course of study leading toward a career in physics teaching in the high schools.
    • Showing promise of success in their studies
    • A citizen of the United States of America.

    Elks Most Valuable Student Competition             

    • Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply.
    • Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
    • College students are not eligible to apply.
    • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
    • Male and female students compete separately.

    The 2017 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Applications for the 2017 contest will be available online starting September 1, 2016. The 2017 MVS application deadline is November 30, 2016 at 11:59 PM Central Standard Time.

    From April 6-9, 2017 the 20 top finalists will participate in an all-expenses paid Leadership Weekend in Chicago during which they'll interview with the national judges. These 20 finalists will be vying for two first-place awards of $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000.     Aspiring Business Professional Scholarship

    Applicants need to be a high school senior who will graduate by spring of 2017. Students needs to attend an accredited post-secondary school or college and intend to pursue a degree in a business related field. Shows a record of academic success. Students are required to submit an essay. The scholarship winner will receive a $1000 scholarship. Deadline is June 1, 2017. For application process and essay topic please follow the below link.


    Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship

    Applicants need to be a high school senior who will graduate by spring of 2017. Students need to demonstrate a history of academic success. Students who wish to pursue a degree in an animation related field at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Students are required to write an essay. One winner will be chosen for the $1000.00 scholarship. Deadline is June 1, 2017. For application process and essay topic please follow the below link.


    Carid Scholarship

    Carid is offering a $1,000 dollar scholarship for a high school senior. Create a photo inspired by any aspect of the automotive industry and email it to scholarship@CARiD.com.     Horatio Alger Scholarship

    The National Scholarship Program is awarded to eligible students in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. National Scholars receive an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., during the spring of their senior year to participate in the National Scholars Conference. Recipients must attend the National Scholars Conference to receive the award. Deadline to apply is October 25, 2016.     Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship Program

    The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship Program is for high-achieving high school seniors who plan to attend a four- year college or university. Students are selected based on academic ability and achievement, financial need, community service, and leadership abilities. This highly competitive scholarship winners will receive up to 40,000 a year with the opportunity to choose any area of study.

    Minimum Eligibility

    • Graduate from a US high school in spring 2017
    • Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2017
    • Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above
    • SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 (based on the old SAT scores) or above and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above
    • Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. However, we anticipate that a majority of scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive a Pell grant

    Prudential Spirit of Community Award:

    Students who have or are involved in community service activities over the past year are encouraged to apply for this scholarship opportunity. Students can apply by clicking the following link http://spirit.prudential.com to access the online application. More information can also be found in the guidance office. Deadline to apply is November 8, 2016.

    *Students will also need to get the application certified by the principal.

    Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau’s G.A.A.T.E. Scholarship Program:

    Students who are pursuing a career in the agriculture industry are encouraged to apply. There are three scholarship opportunities. Ranging from $250-$1000. Applications can be picked up in the guidance office. Deadline is April 1, 2017.

    Southern California Mothers of Multiples Clubs, Inc. 

    SCMOMC Scholarship is now available for those students who are twins, triplets, or higher and meet the elgibility requirements (High school senior planning to attend a college, university, or trade school). To view more information and the application process Click Here

    Stokes Educational Scholarship Program

    The Stokes Program is open to high school seniors, planning to major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering, have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and a minimum SAT score of 1200 or ACT of 25.     Catching The Dream Scholarship

    This is a nationwide scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on merit and the basis of the students making a positive impact to the lives of Indian people.     • Students must be 1/4 or more American Indian and an enrolled member of a U.S. tribe.
    • Students must attend an accredited college or university on a full time basis.
    • Have a high GPA

    California Strawberry Commission

    The 2017-2018 Strawberry Scholarship applications are now open. This scholarship is available for high school seniors who are looking to enroll full-time at either; a college, university, community college, or an accredited trade school. These scholarships range from $400 to $5000 and are awarded to children of California Field Workers. The application deadline is February 15th, 2017.     SCAD Challenge

    The SCAD Challenge gives high school seniors the opportunity to showcase their talents. Seniors will complete an application and submit an art design of their choice (Please see website for senior approved art pieces). Applications are due by December 15, 2016 and art work must be submitted by February 3, 2017. Three winners will be chosen, and scholarships will range from $2500-$7000.
